At a dinner party, the shy Charlotte hides under the dinner table. After she's persuaded to sing a song for evrybody, she goes to play with her cousins. A mean cousin tells her that her mother is not actually her real mother, and that Charlotje was bought when her mum couldn't get children of her own.
